Ilyanna
The Third Bottle Nymph, Elixir Nymph ???
The Third Sister, Ilyanna, was the third water nymph to accept the trial of melding a gemstone to her chest–hematite.
Ilyanna should have been the second official Elixir Nymph after Shanara, but melding the hematite to Ilyanna’s chest unexpectedly wreaked havoc on the craftsmen. Her bottle, designed just for her, turned black in color and its essence turned ‘sickly’ or toxic in nature. The volatile and dangerous transformation that took place led to the Nereths evacuating the area as the entire sector around them became noxious. Once they had determined it safe, they returned to where Ilyanna should have been–but the water nymph was nowhere to be found.
Bewildered and disturbed, the craftsmen sought to investigate what could have happened to cause such an adverse transformation. Upon further examination of the hematite gemstones they had, the Nereths concluded that the hematite–which is a gemstone known for warding negative energy– had become too polluted. Without proper cleansing, the gemstone became unstable with negative energy and thus altered the water nymph’s condition. With this discovery in mind, the craftsmen initiated a protocol to ensure that every gemstone is cleansed before being melded to a water nymph’s form.
As for the Third Sister, the Nereths do not know of her whereabouts and some have speculated that Ilyanna had become ‘evil’ after being attached to a polluted gem. Situations of misery, misfortune, agony and sorrow had befallen the elves and nymphs of Azuris after her disappearance, thus many suspect that she may be the root cause of their torment.
