Design Guide and Limits

When creating and designing your character, there are some restrictions and limits to keep in mind.

General Restrictions

Content that is not allowed includes, but is not limited to:

Bottle Nymphs inspired by copyrighted characters. Designs found to be based on copyrighted characters during the submission stage cannot be resubmitted, even with edits. Designs found to be based on copyrighted characters after approval will be voided, and you will receive a strike for breaking our terms. These limitations extend to naming Bottle Nymphs you did not design after copyrighted characters that resemble them.
Bottle Nymphs based on insensitive stereotypes.
Depictions of firearms
Depictions of open wounds or blood. This is considered NSFW and cannot be displayed on the masterlist.
Depictions of blunts or bongs
-Cigarettes, cigars, and pipes are acceptable on the masterlist.
Depictions of genitalia or bodily fluids. This is considered NSFW and cannot be displayed on the masterlist.
Props, accessories, or traits that take up more than 1/3 of the masterlist thumbnail.
The design should be discernible, so having props, accessories or traits that take over the design are not accepted.
Designs that are too low in contrast between the body colors and lineart for the different features to be easily discernible.

Trait Limits

Bottle Nymphs cannot have any markings, accessories or other features that could be mistaken for traits they do not have. For example:

Bottle Nymphs cannot have 'fake' wings adorned on their body due to confusion with various traits that grant wings. Little wing-like shapes on clothing may be accepted if made visually clear.
Bottle Nymphs cannot have flowers or plants growing on their body (learn more with non-existent traits), but can have flowers or plants as accessories on clothing.
The Aquatic trait grants fins, but fins cannot mimic wings granted from other traits.
Bottle Nymphs cannot have scales without the Aquatic trait.

Non-Existent Traits

The following features are one that would require a bespoke trait, if those traits existed. As such, they cannot be used in Bottle Nymph designs. This includes, but is not limited to:

Extra horns, unicorn horns, dragon or devil horns
Angel or demon wings, including feathers or marking that could be mistaken for them
Additional eyes or mouths, or markings that could be mistaken for them
Halos
Fangs
Flowers or plants growing on the body
Crystals growing on the body
Celestial aspects, such as stars, moons and planets adorning the body.
Actual food (not accessories) stuck to the body
Mechanical/robotic parts

Keep in mind that some of the traits in this list may or may not become real traits in the world of Azuris.

Bottle Design

Besides keeping your bottle in good size, one other limit to keep in mind is the color of your metal accent. All bottles have gold accents.

These are all acceptable examples of gold.

Silver

Bronze

Color

These are all unacceptable colors, including black.

Body Design

There are some key rules to remember when designing your Bottle Nymph. Bottle Nymphs are essentially a new form of water nymph which are female deities in Greek mythology. They appear as human women, so please make sure to keep them realistic in nature.

Natural Skin Tones

Unnatural Skin Tones

Bottle Nymphs can only have natural skin tones that occur in humans. Skin tones that do not occur naturally are not allowed.

Skin Markings:

Tattoos and piercings are allowed as long as they are appropriate. Any design found with offensive or inappropriate markings will be voided. Scars are also allowed as long as they are drawn realistically, but scars indicating self harm are not allowed.

Anatomy:

Bottle Nymphs can have any human body shape as long as their shape or weight is drawn realistically and accurately.

Any design that overexaggerates or fetishizes any part of the human body is not allowed.

Child-like or child designs are unacceptable, this includes lolicon.

Designs submitted to the masterlist must be fullbody and must show all details.

Adult chibis are acceptable as long as all details are shown and made clear.
