Writing is also another way to collect Nereth coins and can be submitted for applicable prompts!
Writing Requirements

When submitting prompts, please do not submit more than 2 prompts at one time and please wait until approval before submitting more.

Please do not submit more than one writing with over 2,000 words at one time. This can make reviewing very difficult for mods.
Length

Written submissions must be at least 300 words minimum.

Written submissions cannot exceed 2,599 words maximum.
Complete Story
-
Every written submission must have a complete story that fits in 2,599 words or less. It must have a clear beginning that sets the scene and characters, and it must have a conclusion that makes it clear the story has reached its end. Please do not split pieces of writing longer than 2,599 words into multiple submissions to get around the word limit.
Easy to Read

All written pieces submitted to Bottle Nymphs must be written in English and in prose format.

Works in a script format, poems, lists, text messages conversations, or simple roleplay in the style of *nuzzles you* can not be submitted for rewards.

All writing submissions must be formatted for easy reading. Avoid bright text or background colors, strange font choices, or text that's excessively large or small.

Please include regular paragraph breaks and clearly label who is speaking.

Please also make sure to proof-read your work, making sure that everything is spelled correctly, punctuated, and properly capitalized. Pieces with small errors are acceptable, but if a piece is all run-on sentences, lacks proper punctuation or capitalization, is riddled with spelling errors, or is otherwise too difficult to read, it will be rejected.
Uniquely Created By You

Every piece submitted to Bottle Nymphs must be uniquely written by a Bottle Nymphs player and created specifically for Bottle Nymphs.

The following are not allowed for Bottle Nymphs submissions, and may result in disciplinary action if used:

- Generative AI programs such as ChatGPT. You may not use AI programs to write any amount of your submissions.
-AI editing programs such as Grammerly AI. While using digital tools to check your grammar and spelling is fine, using programs that reword or rewrite your work is not.
- Passing off another's writing as your own. You're welcome to commission written pieces or seek assistance from beta readers, but you may not submit writing that someone else has written or rewritten for you as if you wrote it completely yourself. -
Currently, we cannot accept pieces that were originally written in another language and then translated using AI-assisted or automatic translators, as we cannot easily distinguish them from AI-generated pieces. Please make sure that all written submissions are originally written in English.
Official Characters

All work submitted to Bottle Nymphs may only contain official characters. Characters that are not official or not yet approved are not accepted.

If a story needs a nameless background character to fulfill a simple function, you may briefly mention one, but they should not have more than a single line of dialogue or be mentioned more than twice. They cannot be named.

Basic Rewards
100 Words = 100
All written pieces that follow the writing requirements will earn 100 Nereth coins per every 100 words written. This does not round up. For example, 398 words will count the same as 300 words and earn 300 Nereth coins.

Please note that written submissions must be at least 300 words long, and cannot exceed 2,500 words. This means that written submissions have a base reward of 300 Nereth coins and a max reward of 2,500 Nereth coins.
Bonus Rewards
Gift Art Bonus: +70 Nereth coins for writing in a character you don't own, including NPCs.
-A character must have a major speaking role in the piece in order to count for this bonus.
-This bonus is additive. If you include 3 NPCs in a piece and they have a discussion, you add this reward 3 times.

Pet Bonus: +50 Nereth coins for including your Bottle Nymphs pet.
-The pet must play a significant role in the story to count for this bonus.
-This bonus is additive. If you include your nymph with 3 of their pets, you add this reward 3 times.
-This only works when writing your own Bottle Nymph with a pet from their household. You cannot receive this bonus when writing someone else's character with a pet and cannot also receive this bonus when writing your character with a pet they do not own.

Collaborations: Each writer earns 1/2 of the Nereth coin rewards total, rounded up.
-Both collaborators may separately submit their piece to earn their half of the rewards.

Note: We reserve the right to reject writing that appears to be low effort as an attempt to farm Nereth coins.
Please make sure to put in real effort and time into your submissions for prompts. There's no need to be Picasso or Poe, but suspected grinding for Nereth coins will result in a review and the submission rejected.
