Craftsmanship
The water nymphs yearned to explore the world and relayed their wish to the Nereths. The Nereths are known for their expertise in crafting individual items ranging from jewelry to pottery works. Their creations are elegant in nature and are made with such detail that upon finding their works it is obvious what civilization created it.
One particular profession that stands out to most is their craftsmanship of glass bottles or vials. Decorated in delicate jewels and metals, they craft beautiful bottles with various intentions such as for perfumes, potions or other liquids. One such group of craftsmen believed that with the intense magic of the water nymphs, they may be able to contain and even sustain the nymphs within the bottles. Such an idea was deemed impossible until they discovered how water nymphs had become connected to jewels of various types.
Jewel craftsmanship was considered one of the top crafts within Azuris as jewels and crystals were seen as elements or gateways to unforeseen worlds and connected the elves to their gods or goddesses. So upon discovering the water nymphs connection to them, the Nereths sought to attach these jewels to the nymphs' bodies. The first jewel they experimented with was a purple sapphire that they then laced with gold to help meld it together with the nymph’s form–and curiously it worked. They then crafted a luxurious bottle associating with this particular gemstone and design, but they were far from connecting the water nymph to her vial.
But the water nymph, now connected to her gemstone, led the Nereths to her home. They collected a sample of her realm’s water and miraculously a major transformation occurred.
